My first love is drawing but I found out soon enough (100 years ago when I graduated art school) that it is very difficult to make a living drawing.Almost as difficult is making a living designing websites but thankfully I have found work doing something I love and am passionate about.
I love working with Wordpress. I have tried many other opensource frameworks but not one has come close to being as user friendly. I use WordPress to deliver a CMS to clients who just want to be able to maintain and edit their own websites,without having to know a stitch of html and without having to hire someone to change a line of text on a page…that’s so 2005!
WordPress can do anything, from a large scale multi editor magazine style site to a personal blog.
WordPress powers CNN.com, People.com, PerezHilton.com, SilentBobSpeaks.com(Kevin Smith’s personal site) and a ton of others.Even Rosie O Donnel uses WordPress.
I focus on clean design with tight typography,light on graphics.Fonts are another great love of mine.I’m constantly on the lookout for that new great font which might be perfect for my next project.
But most important of all is I always remember what the point of a website is:to attract visitors,engage them and make them want to come back.
My work ethic:
My relationship with my clients doesn’t end once they’ve sent the check.
I perform regular maintenence and always upgrade the framework to the latest release,free of charge.
I perform site diagnostics with Google Analytics and use Google Webmaster Tools to gauge the performance of each website. I try to keep in touch with all of my clients by email. I don’t believe in letting a website stagnate. A regularly updated website is a happy website.
