Why do contributers to coder’s forums act so darn superior?

I don’t think all coders who contribute to forums on a regular basis & actually help people are all bad-it’s the ones who take that arch air with you as if their words were golden and if you dare to question their advice, or worse misunderstand, then you are a poop-head, and they have no qualms about telling you just that.
I will spend hours looking through Google searches before I get distraught enough to go to a forum for answers, because I don’t like they way people are treated in coder forums.
If you want to spend your valuable time helping people who are too stupid to figure it out for themselves, then that is your choice. But please note that not everyone speaks tech-and for the app/process/code in question there may be a 1000 technical terms for which they aren’t yet familiar.

What a dull little life you must lead if trying to make some person feel bad for not knowing something is what makes you feel good.
The next person in line for a spanking (and not a fun spanking, either) are the wanna-be experts who think they know it all yet can barely type and don’t read your post. It seems they can barely contain themeselves as if the rush to answer before any one else was the most important thing in the world, but they can’t really concentrate for all the slapping themselves on the back they are doing. I had just this sort of person sigh at me when I dared to suggest he hadn’t read my full post because his answer asked me to do all the things I said I had done in my opening post. Eegit.
Of course there are silly people asking questions you’ve answered 1000 times.
Of course the answer is in the pinned or sticky threads they didn’t read.
Of course some of them are immature enough to fall for the noob baiting jabs.
Does it surprise you when someone you don’t know doesn’t like being insulted?
On the other hand there is the rare contributer who merely reads your question and answers it.
And then they do it again for the next and the next and the next.
I do admire those ones.
