What’s more dangerous than unknowingly pissing off a stranger? Pissing of a blogging stranger! Except a real life blood and guts stranger can hit you.
Here I am just keeping my head above water in my chaotic life and I’ve also got to think about whether or not I am adhering to some kind of blogger’s code? Yes. Because I do have a blog (I need to practice my typing) so I have to be mindful.
I’ve seen and skimmed many articles and forum posts about the no follow thingy.Whatsit? It’s not clothes, makeup or free php code so I confess I moved on,eyes glazed.
But my blog has probably been slapped by Google or whateveitis that runs the world because I never bothered to bother with fixing the rel=external nofollow thing that WP shoves into it’s comments stuff.
Just now I found this article by Perishable Press explaining very clearly how to remove this badness without the need for a plugin.
So I guess now I do follow.
And guys: I never meant to be so cold.
Love me again?

Please delete this comment if I’ve completely misread your post. But Google actually wants bloggers to use “nofollow”. Commenters, on the other hand, tend to prefer “do follow”. Not that either should tell you how to run your blog…
No, you didn’t misunderstand me, I was wrong about Google but don’t think I’m merely dofollow bandwagon hopping without a clue. I want other bloggers to want to comment on my blog so they will get something(admittedly something very small considering my traffic) back when they visit and comment.
Thanks Sam, for clearing up the Google point for me!
Nah. Wasn’t thinking about bandwagon hopping. It’s just that you see a lot of bloggers jumping through hoops to please Google, and I was worried that you were jumping backwards. 😉
I like your follows just the way they are. Glad to see you made it back!
