The main thrust of this project was making it easy for the client to be able to update their web store and have the changes reflect in real time on their landing page.

This site features this nifty code that I developed for displaying Web Store products in a widget – on their WordPress-powered landing page.
Also: if a class product is sold out, the title text is gray. If the class product is available, the title text is bold & black.

The MeatHook wanted to be able to show a list on the home page that showed what meats they had in stock. So I figured out a way to use tags to divide the list into 2 parts: Sausages and Charcuterie. Apart from that they just wanted the management of the site to be dead-easy. The fact that they have never contacted me for support since the launch speaks to the ease of use with this custom WordPress theme.

• Product list is not shown on landing page
• Breadcrumbs are hidden on landing page
• Updated: Slide Show Panels (content via RSS feeds)
• Client uses blog to publish content to their Web store home page

• Custom Accordion Menu

• Hides submenus at the secondary level
• Stays open to selected category after page load
• Arrow graphic indicates selected category
• Supports the above even if parent category has no submenu
• Stays open to selected category on product details pages

• Custom Mini Cart

• A smaller and more linear mini cart in upper portion of the page. The mini cart has the basic mini cart features, just a tidier look.

The deceptive simplicity on the surface hides the complexity underneath: in order that each product could be viewed in a slideshow, much was custom-built. There also had to be a thumbnail scroll of all the products in their category underneath the 1st product slide. The scroller is populated by grabbing all images uploaded to a page. The menu is jQuery. The most difficult project I’ve completed since I began taking on clients.

A facelift for the Green concept moving company’s website. Added an online store where customers can buy boxes and packing materiel.

Completefone had a site when they contacted me. They were not in love with having to use WordPress posts to make entries that looked like Web Store products. So I used a code I developed to “grab” products from their Web store, based on web keywords (that’s a Web Store function) and show them in WordPress pages. In the top left there’s a Web store product. In the center column there are 8 Web Store products and the Pages Latest Products & Special Offers have 8 products as well. These are not Web Store Custom Pages, these are WordPress Custom Templates. Click the image above to view better.
