Webstore costs about 400 with a valid user license. It's the Point of Sale software called Lightspeed that costs a lot. Generally if you don't have a brick & mortar shop you would not choose this option because Lightspeed is intended to sync the inventory between the real store and the virtual one.

Good going getting it all set up and the way you needed it to be!

I find it hard to write the perfect tutorial ---they end up being very long if you try to explain everything ---but yes my feed link is a Permalink link. Your feed link is a default link (Permalinks not turned on).

You can turn on Permalinks: Dashboard>>Settings>>Permalinks
Turning them on doesn't break anything. But if you do - change the link for the feed,too.
Just so there aren't more redirects then there have to be.

Thanks so much for posting this - it's exactly what I needed.

I struggled for a while with this.

2 points worked for me:
1/ My blog feed was located at /blog/?feed=rss2 not the nested structure you wrote about (maybe this is a wordpress setting I've neglected)
2/ I was expecting my html markup to come through with the post. This can be achieved by substituting the

>> print $item->get_description();
for
>> print $item->get_content();

apart from this pretty simple though & perfect for adding much needed functionality to webstore
